"Punks not dead" is the name of the first album of The Exploited. Their latest one is blatantly called "Fuck the System." Their signature image of a skull with a mohawk has been on walls of cities all over the world for more than 40 years now.

Founded in 1979 in Edinburgh, Exploited started playing punk music inspired by The Sex Pistols, but soon expanded their style to hardcore punk and crossover/thrash metal. They have been an inspiration to the likes of Metallica and Queens of the Stone Age and were covered by Ice T and Slayer. The lineup of The Exploited saw several changes throughout the years, but the main driving force of the band, Wattie Buchan, has always been an unstoppable machine, even after suffering a heart attack on stage during one of their performances. Forever in revolt against authority, wars and softer-spoken fellow artists, this virtuous anarchist has gained the reputation of a unique frontman which he lives up to on every single show.

Shows have always been essential chapters in The Exploited's long and glorious history, demonstrated by the fact that they almost have as many live albums as studio recordings. This, of course, due to their untamed energy, die-hard attitude and marvelous punk hymns such as "Beat the Bastards," "Army Life," "Dogs of War" and others that you can hear for the first time in Tbilisi on June 17th.
